Green Dragon

OK I'll begin by stating that the original ink art included in this piece, even though it resembles my own, is actually of a friend of mine, Eleni. She gave me this inking of a dragon as a Christmas gift and I liked it quite a bit, so I sat and gave it life in Photoshop the same night (Received it at midnight, started working on it at 1:00am, finished at about 2:55am so we're looking at a less-than-two-hour work. Combine that with the fact that I had to work at my job overtime today - a whopping 12 hours 15 minutes - I have to admit I was impressed both by my stamina in continuing to paint and not fall asleep on my keyboard and the resulting quality.
Seeing how the colour palette was quite close to monochrome I played a bit with the hue and produced a few more quick alternatives in red, green, golden and shadow (purple) based on D&D's dragon varieties. I uploaded the alternatives in my drafts folder. Planning to add more depth and highlight to the golden one since it now looks more like yellow and make a desaturated and lightly re-hued version of that to have a silver one. A desaturated Blue with a correction in levels could also give a black dragon...still it's always better to find the stamina to make a new art for each since it is not just the colours that vary...other smaller physical characteristics as well as stance and gaze differ in dragon types.

IMPORTANT NOTE: I was informed by users that the pencilwork handed to me for coloring was not original but a ripoff from Ruth Thompson's painting, "Spirit of Ice". Saddened and slightly frustrated by the fact that I received this pencilwork as a gift by a "friend", I hereby give the credit due to Ruth Thompson as well as title these works re-colorings of the original.
